Thanks to Elmer E. Koch Professor Marilyn Wolf, the School of Computing and College of Engineering are now represented at Sign Post Forest.

Sign Post Forest, one of the most famous landmarks along the Alaska Highway, is a collection of signs at Watson Lake, Yukon, Canada. It was started by an army soldier in 1942 who, while recovering from an injury, erected a signpost for his hometown of Danville, Illinois. Since then, visitors have been adding their own signs to the landmark, and there are now more than 100,000 other signs present today.

On her trip to Alaska this summer, Wolf visited Sign Post Forest and added School of Computing and College of Engineering stickers to a landmark display. The stickers were appropriately placed next to a sign from someone who had traveled from Nome, Alaska to Nebraska.
