The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will return to its pre-pandemic, projected academic calendars beginning with the 2025-26 academic year through 2029-30. The calendars do not include a pre-session, or the "J-term," as part of the spring semester.

Projected academic calendars continue to offer Nebraska students class dates that are in sync across the UNL, UNO, and UNK campuses. All fall and spring calendars are approved by the University of Nebraska Board of Regents. Summer session terms differ on the undergraduate campuses.

Summer session dates for 2026 and beyond will be announced. Contract dates and working days are available on the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor's website.

Guidance provided for the 2024-25 academic year, which includes a spring pre-session, remains unchanged. A call for proposals for funding to support 2025 Spring Pre-Session courses will be distributed in March 2024.
