Who will attend Nebraska Trailblazers?
Approximately 200 students, young professionals, and representatives from local businesses will attend the Nebraska Trailblazers Breakfast. Attendees are interested in generational workforce development either because they are part of the emerging workforce or because their businesses need to attract young talent. These conversations will shape participating businesses' recruitment and retention strategies and guide young professionals' career paths as they look toward the future.
Why attend Nebraska Trailblazers?
In Nebraska’s ongoing effort to address the Brain Drain – the significant annual loss of young people – it is crucial to give the incoming Generation Z workforce an opportunity to express to employers what might encourage them to stay in the Cornhusker State. To this end, each table at the event will seat four business leaders and four high-achieving Nebraska students. Our goal is to emphasize young voices and provide business leaders with the opportunity to listen, learn, and consider their own strategies for attracting and retaining young talent.
Who will my registration fee support?
Every Individual registration also contributes a donation for a student or young professional ticket. This means that by purchasing one table for your organization, you will be able to bring four team members to attend AND donate a four tickets to students. Additional funds raised through the Nebraska Trailblazers Breakfast will also support the sustainability and scaling of the Intern Foundry (IF) program to enable high achieving UNL Honors students to forge meaningful experiences, relationships, and skills in Lincoln through project-based internships with local nonprofits.
