The City of Lincoln is hiring a human resources information systems (HRIS) analyst intern.
Position Overview:
As a Human Resources Information Systems Analyst Intern, you will work closely with our HRIS team to support various HR systems and processes. You will have the opportunity to learn about HR technology, data analysis, and reporting, while assisting in the maintenance and optimization of our HRIS platforms. This is an onsite, part-time, temporary position working approximately 20 hours a week within regular business hours through August 2025. There is not a remote working option.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Generate reports and analyze HR data to provide insights and support decision-making.
• Collaborate with HR team members to identify areas for process improvement and automation.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving HRIS-related issues.
• Participate in projects related to system upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders regarding HR systems inquiries.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, and familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
