
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will celebrate more than 900 employees during the 2025 Celebration of Service, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Coliseum.
All university employees are invited, and lunch will be served.
Through the Celebration of Service, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln honors the talent and dedication of faculty and staff for every five years of employment. Honorees include 15 Huskers who have given 45, 50 or 60 years of service, the award presentation for which will take place at noon.
The following School of Computing faculty and staff members will be celebrating service milestones this year:
• Robert Dyer, Assistant Professor, 5 years
• Qiuming Yao, Assistant Professor, 5 years
• Brittany Duncan, Ross McCollum Associate Professor, 10 years
• Patricia Lena, Financial Specialist, 10 years
• Ron Kruml, Research Technical Support Specialist, 15 years
• Scott Chaffin, Systems Manager, 30 years
• Joyce Young, Grants Coordinator, 40 years
• LaRita Lang, Graduate Secretary and Events Coordinator, 45 years
Lang will be among the 15 honorees presented with an award at the event.
