Food for Thought
Wednesday, October 29
6:30 PM
19 Avery Hall
The School of Computing Student Advisory Board is hosting the Food for Thought event on Wednesday, October 29.
Students in the School of Computing are invited to express their thoughts and concerns regarding their computing classes while enjoying some complimentary dinner.
Come to room 19 in Avery Hall (AVH 19) at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy some free Papa John’s pizza and talk with cSAB about your experiences! This is a unique opportunity to improve the School of Computing and provide feedback that will make its way to all SoC professors.
Some guiding questions to think about before you attend:
- What do you like about the way your professors conduct class? Are there things that you dislike?
- How do you feel about your professors’ course policies?
- Do you feel like you have sufficient access to academic materials and support in your classes? Is there anything that prevents this support?
- Have you attended office hours/TA hours for a class before? If so, how did it go?
- Are the teaching assistants given appropriate responsibility and do they handle those responsibilities well?
