The School of Computing's Learning Assistant Program has opened applications for the spring 2026 semester! Apply now for learning assistant and course leader positions in introductory computer science courses.
Pay is $13.50/hour for learning assistants and $15/hour for course leaders.
The Learning Assistant Program supports CSCE 155E, CSCE 155A, CSCE 155N, CSCE 156, CSCE 156H, and CSCE 101, and the application is currently open for all of these courses.
Responsibilities are listed on the application.
To apply, fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/NatqZUmb6fvnsuTi8
The program is also sadly losing one of its senior leaders, and the organization is looking to fill this position before the start of the spring semester. The only preference is toward those who may be able to fulfill the role for multiple semesters. If you are graduating in a semester or two, it may not be the best fit. However, if you are early in your college career and hoping to have a larger organization-wide impact, consider applying for the senior leader role! This semester, the LA Program is only looking for one senior leader, but will be looking for more in the subsequent semesters, so it is good to get your name in the ring! If you are interested in applying, please reach out to the email listed below!
The LA Program strives to improve student comprehension and retention in computing courses by focusing on the learner’s experience.
