
Several members of the School of Computing were recognized at the College of Engineering’s seventh annual Excellence in Teaching Celebration on Thursday, April 2.
The Excellence in Teaching Celebration, hosted by the Engineering and Computing Education Core (ECEC), is a core facility in the College of Engineering offering programs that support the college’s educational needs and priorities. ECEC’s annual celebration event recognizes faculty and graduate students in the College of Engineering who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to student learning and support.
The following School of Computing faculty were recognized during the event:

• Alisha Bevins
• Jitender Deogun
• Jeff Falkinburg
• Seth Polsley
• Nikhil Satyala
• Leen-Kiat Soh
• Lisong Xu
ECEC also supports the College of Engineering Teaching Fellows program, a six-year professional development series designed to elevate the quality of teaching within engineering, computing, and construction classrooms. Two School of Computing faculty members were recognized for their outstanding commitment in their roles as Teaching Fellows during the event:

• Qiuming Yao
Two more School of Computing faculty members will join the Teaching Fellows cohort this fall and were also recognized as Prospective Teaching Fellows during the event:
• Qiang Liu
• Bonita Sharif
ECEC also supports the College of Engineering Graduate Student Teaching Fellows program, a one-year competitive program that prepares graduate students who are currently (or will be) teaching at the postsecondary level. The following School of Computing graduate students were recognized during the event:
