The Mathematics Colloquium will host Thane Plambeck of Counterwave, Inc. on March 8 at 4 p.m. in 115 Avery. He will present "The Angry Bird: Combinatorial Game Theory in the Apple App Store".
Plambeck received his BA in Mathematics from UNL in 1985 and his PhD from Stanford University in 1990. He is the co-founder of PostModern Computing, Structured Arts, Numerical Technologies (all acquired by public companies). He specializes in network security, distributed systems, databases, financial mathematics, game theory.
