Associate Professor Lisong Xu has been appointed as the new UNL Library Liaison. Dr. Xu has a reminder about how to request a book acquisition from the UNL libraries, and what UNL library resources are available online.
To Request a Book Acquisition:
We can request the acquisition of new books in CS or CE for research. The books may not be software/ language manuals or introductory CS/CE textbooks.
The process is as follows:
-You check on iris.unl.edu to make sure that we do not already have the book.
-You email me a request using the following format:
TITLE
AUTHORS/EDITORS
ISBN (this is a very important field)
PUBLISHER
-I will recommend the book for acquisition only if it is relevant to CSE education or research.
-The library acquires the book if sufficient funds are available
-The new book will be displayed at the “New Acquisitions” desk of the Math Library in Avery Hall.
-Please make sure UNL does not already have the book.
