The Holdcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clemson University is seeking applicants for a summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program. This NSF-funded program supports up to 10 summer students to become involved with a faculty member and graduate student for a 10-week research experience at Clemson. There are approximately nine projects and 10 faculty from several departments involved in this program. The program provides student summer housing on campus and pays a generous $6,000 stipend. There is also a relocation allowance for students, and an on-campus meal plan is available.

The application deadline is April 1, 2014, and the program begins May 19 and ends July 25.

To apply students must be electrical and computer engineering, materials sciences and engineering, bioengineering or physics majors, must have U.S. citizenship or permanent-resident status, must have a minimum GPA of 3.4 out of 4.0, and only one to four academic semesters remaining until graduation at the time of participation.
