Maria Gini will be speaking March 17 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in Avery Hall Room 115. Gini is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota. She specializes in robotics and artificial intelligence. Specifically she studies decision making for autonomous agents in a variety of applications and contexts, ranging from distributed methods for task allocation, robot exploration, and teamwork. Her talk will focus on new aspects of the ubiquitous problem of allocating tasks to multiple robots. Task allocation to robots is distinctive because it involves spatial constraints.
A reception will be held at 3:30 p.m. in 348 Avery Hall.
