Introducing CSE Bits & Bytes

CSE Bits & Bytes, the new electronic newsletter for the Computer Science & Engineering Department, will be the single source of email updates for students. This will allow the department to communicate with students on a weekly basis in order to share all announcements in one message instead of flooding student mailboxes with multiple messages throughout the week.

Students are the primary target audience for the newsletter. This includes CS/CE majors, minors, and non-majors who are currently enrolled in a CSCE course. Faculty and staff will also receive the newsletter so that they are aware of the information that’s being shared with students and to prevent the need for separate messages to those groups. The newsletter will be sent to our existing mailing lists: ugrads, grads, misc, faculty, and staff. Other individuals (alumni, prospective students, staff from other departments, etc.) will have the ability to opt-in to the newsletter distribution list.

The newsletter will be sent out Wednesday mornings during the academic year. Articles can be submitted prior to Noon on Tuesdays in order to be published the following morning.
