Union Pacific Railroad, the nation's leading freight transportation company, is offering a summer internship opportunity in the Network & Capital Planning group for a student at either the undergraduate or graduate level.
The Network & Capital Planning team handles the planning and analysis of resources required to operate the railroad. It plays a key role in the company's business planning process, working with the Marketing, Operating & Finance functions to adjust workforce and locomotives, and to determine infrastructure investments, based on market forecasts. The team also analyzes operating performance, designs and maintains key performance metrics, and works in partnership with the Operating team to improve performance.
The intern will be expected to make a meaningful contribution, while learning about the railroad business and Union Pacific's operations.
