App Development Job

I am a faculty member in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at UNL, and I am looking for a student programmer who would like to work on creating a language (Spanish) learning mobile app. Users will need to “build” sentences in Spanish. They will do this by weaving their way through sentences word by word, by choosing the correct grammatical alternative from two choices, as quickly as they can (though the app will be more involved, a demonstration of the basic structure can be found here: http://www.u.arizona.edu/~kforster/MAZE/maze.htm). The goal is to have the app run on Windows, Android, and Mac platforms. Knowledge of both Java and Objective C is therefore highly preferred.

App development is being funded through a UNL Research Council Grant-in-Aid, and the job pays $10.00 per hour (this is negotiable, especially based on experience). Course credit (up to three credits) is also available in addition to payment.

If you are interested in this project and would like further details, please contact Prof. Liz Enkin at eenkin@unl.edu. Thank you!
