CSE welcomes Matthew Wagenheim

Matthew Wagenheim
Matthew Wagenheim

Matthew Wagenheim joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering this week as an administrative technician.

Wagenheim previously worked in the College of Engineering as a temporary administrative technician in the Dean’s Office. He was partly responsible for facilitating its recent ABET accreditation visit as well as providing administrative support to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs.

Wagenheim said he was attracted to CSE because he’s interested in staying in the College of Engineering, especially in a department that will allow him to improve his software skills. He hopes to have the opportunity to learn and perhaps even design new software and processes that will improve the day-to-day operation of the department.

He moved to Lincoln about five months ago from Grand Rapids, where he received his bachelor’s degree in English literature and was a member of the Grand Rapids Symphony Choir. In his spare time, Wagenheim enjoys singing, reading, playing games, drinking craft beer, and spending time with his girlfriend and their cat.

Welcome to CSE, Matt! Be sure to say hello when you see him.
