The Intelligence Community Scholars at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is a career preparedness organization for students looking to pursue a career in Intelligence, Foreign Policy, Politics, or working in any capacity for the Federal Government. The award winning program and faculty has helped almost 50% of program graduates obtain a position in the Intelligence Community, which is no easy feat. The program gives students the opportunity to gain real world experience in researching and briefing leaders from local and national agencies as well as opportunities for funded travel. Getting a job in the Federal Government is not easy, and the group has produced some of the most competitive applicants in the country.
Currently IC Scholars is looking for new applicants, and requires that students be American Citizens, hold a 3.0 GPA, and be a full-time student at the university. The group meets once a month and has outside opportunities for speakers, events, and skills workshops. Applications are due Sept. 7, no recommendation letter is required. The application should take an estimated 30 minutes, from a current member of the program, anyone interested in pursuing a career in this field should absolutely apply.
