The Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) invites faculty who want to learn more about and network with potential outreach and broader impacts partners to attend a special event.
The “Broader Impacts Partners Meet and Greet” event will be held on Wednesday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Arbor Suite of the Nebraska East Union.
The event will consist of: 1) a lightning talk session, at which representatives from local broader impacts and outreach groups and recent NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) awardees will give brief talks about their roles and experiences related to broader impacts collaborations and 2) a networking lunch, at which presenters and attendees can engage informally and discuss potential partnerships.
This event will be the third in ORED’s 2019 NSF CAREER Club. While the event will certainly be helpful for those preparing or planning to prepare NSF CAREER proposals, the event will also be relevant to anyone hoping to learn more about and engage with potential broader impacts partners and is open to all University of Nebraska faculty.
