Registration closes Feb. 19 for the MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge. Challenge weekend is Feb. 26 to March 1.

MathWorks Math Modeling (M3) Challenge is an applied math modeling competition for 11th and 12th graders in the U.S. that is completely online and totally free! Teachers are required to register teams – beyond that, students take as much initiative as they choose to prepare to participate.

The contest provides everything needed to succeed, including free resources and software. Every participant receives a certificate and the top 37 teams earn scholarship prizes totaling $100,000. The very best teams get an all-expense-paid trip to New York City to present their papers! Watch the video at the end of this email to learn more about the Challenge.

If you or anyone you know may be interested, share the video link with them, have them check out the M3 Challenge website for all the information they’ll need, and then get a team of three to five students registered! If they aren’t sure if they can commit, no problem, team members can be switched all the way up until after Challenge weekend to reflect those who participated.
