March 14 is always a great day to surround ourselves with lots of pi(e) in celebration of the famous transcendental number determined by ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. In a recent video released by Stand-up Mathematician, Matt Parker explores the power of pi – or more precisely of pi to the power of pi to the power of pi to the power of pi! How many digits might this number be? Could this number be an integer? Why can’t my calculator tell me the answer? Examining these questions turns out to be quite complicated (though not complex!) and a lot of fun.
