Congratulations to Josh Males, who successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation “Instructional Leaders Supporting Mathematics Teachers in Enacting More Equitable Classroom Discourse" on Nov. 21, 2023. Committee members are Drs. Amanda Thomas (chair), Amanda Morales and Loukia Sarroub of the Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education; Kelley Buchheister of Early Childhood Education; and Allan Donsig of Mathematics.

Dr. Males is the math curriculum supervisor for Lincoln Public Schools and was a Noyce Master Teaching Fellow in the Center for Science, Mathematics and Computer Education's NebraskaNOYCE grant. Males graduates from UNL this December.
