This May, Click2Science will present Making STEM Fun!—a new workshop about teaching STEM in out-of-school time—across Nebraska.
This two-hour workshop is designed to give new and experienced educators ready-to-use strategies to increase engagement in STEM learning and make STEM activities more fun for both learners and teachers. The workshop features hands-on activities and strategies for sparking interest in STEM. It also includes strategies for managing STEM activities and proactive behavior management. All out-of-school time educators are invited to attend, from part-time staff to site directors and teachers.
Workshop participants will...
- learn strategies for sparking interest in STEM and managing STEM experiences,
- be prepared to use proactive behavior management strategies during STEM activities, and
- practice applying these skills in STEM activities they can take back to their programs.
