The Dairy Store continues its summer tradition of grilling P.O. Pears burgers on the green space south of the Food Industry complex. The next grilling event is June 15. All P.O. Pears days are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dairy Store staff will grill signature P.O. Pears burgers from the now defunct but popular downtown Lincoln establishment, complete with all the fixings.
Half-pound burgers are available with a variety of Dairy Store cheese for $6.99, which includes a trip through the buffet line serving potato chips, baked beans, macaroni salad, pickle spears and burger condiments.
Signature burgers, which include the bacon burger, the popular Jiffy burger with peanut butter or the Rhythm and Blues burger, are $7.49.
People can stop in the Dairy Store as early as 8 a.m. to pre-purchase a lunch.
The grilling events also feature live music performances.
Upcoming P.O. Pears cookouts at the Dairy Store are: June 29, July 13, Aug. 3, Aug. 17 and Sept. 7.
