Are you experiencing difficulty in a class? Now (not later) is the time to talk to your instructor. Check the course syllabus to learn when your instructor has office hours. Take to the meeting your text, class notes, chapter outlines and tests (papers). Your instructor may want to see these items to learn how you have been studying. Your goal should be to learn how you need to change your study behaviors to understand the material better so you can score better in the class not to ask for extra credit or the chance to do an assignment or test over.

“I am having trouble understanding the concepts you are reviewing in class…”
“I attend class and read and outline my text before class but I still am not scoring well on exams. I am not sure what I should do differently to score better…”
“I am having trouble translating what I read and learn in class to potential test questions…”
