The fifth-annual The Complete Engineer® Conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center and is the premier leadership conference for engineering students at Nebraska. Faculty and staff are invited to attend as well.
Faculty are also asked to encourage students to register and attend.
The conference will include:
- Training by employers who want to hire our students.
- Identifying the skills employers are seeking through hands-on experiences.
- Participating in professional and personal development workshops delivered by industry professionals focused on each of The Complete Engineer® competencies.
- Networking with industry from across engineering disciplines.

This year’s keynote speaker is Meryl Mallery, vice president of engineering at Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company, a global leader in precision energetic systems and innovative explosive, non-explosive and electromechanical solutions for the defense and aerospace markets. Mallery has published several papers in the aerospace field and was a finalist for the Petit Foundation “Women in Science Leadership Award” in 2014. She is passionate about supporting STEM education and is an active member of the Connecticut Science Center Board of Trustees as well as the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame (CWHF) Board of Trustees.
