Victoria Fry is a junior chemical engineering major. She is, and has been, actively involved in the college throughout her career at Nebraska. Victoria served as a peer mentor, Engineering Diplomat, and Engineering Ambassador, and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. For the past two years she led the Society of Women Engineers, first as vice president, and then as president. She is also doing research in the chemical engineering department through UCARE.

OUTSTANDING FACULTY MEMBER

Dr. Mike Hoffman is a professor and advisor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. As such, he interacts with many students. Yet, he still finds a way to make each student feel important and listened to. He is great at remembering names and greets students with a hello or smile, when passing them in the hall. He is a man with many answers, and is more than willing to share his knowledge with students, whether it is class, career, or life related. The electrical engineering department is certainly lucky to have him.

OUTSTANDING STAFF MEMBER

Lark Bear is the Career Development and Academic Advising Coordinator. Much of her work is done behind the scenes, but is no less important to students and the college as a whole. She keeps students informed of job and grad school opportunities. She is a helpful resource for job searches and job preparation. Lark, also, is one of the masterminds and workhorses behind the reception, held at the end of the semester for graduating seniors. her hard work is noticed and appreciated.

Congratulations to all of these recipients!
