The Advance-Nebraska conversation series opens with "Starting Up and Managing a Research Lab" and "Road Map to Success," 11:30 to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Nebraska Union. A free lunch is provided with registration.

Advance-Nebraska invites early career faculty who are new to the challenges involved in establishing and managing a research lab to have a conversation with experienced faculty and staff. The Sept. 19 sessions will feature Anuradha Subramanian, professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering, and Justina Clark, graduate studies recruitment director.
Topics to be covered include starting up a lab, recruiting new graduate students and post-docs, and coping with managing people in a lab or research group.
