Nov. 7 UNL Lab Safety Colloquium topic is Machine Shop Safety

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), in partnership with the Office of Research & Economic Development, is sponsoring a campus-wide Laboratory Safety Colloquium, “Machine Shop Safety,” presented by Don Gardner, CSP, Loureiro Consulting.

This session is specifically designed for all faculty, staff and students working with metal, wood or other medium fabrication equipment. Recent incidents here and at other universities have underscored the importance of developing and implementing an effective shop safety program. Learn how to conduct a risk assessment of the work being done in your area.
