"Soft skills" are non-technical skills necessary for success in the workplace. The Engineering Futures Program received national recognition as winner of the 2007 Excellence in Engineering Education Collaboration Award.

The sessions are free for any UNL student, not just students in the College of Engineering. Two sessions are being conducted Saturday, February 2nd in Othmer Hall:

People Skills (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.):
- Communicating Interpersonal Problems
- Diagnosing the Cause of Interpersonal Problems
- Resolving Motivational Problems
- Resolving Ability Problems
- Resolving Emergent Problems

Analytical Problem Solving (2:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.):
- The Problem-Solving Process
- Creative Thinking
- Identifying and Implementing the Problem Solution

Due to the interactive format each session is limited to 20 participants. You may sign up to attend both sessions. To guarantee a spot, RSVP by January 29.
