The Center for Entrepreneurship in the College of Business Administration is hosting an inaugural "EntrepreneuringDays@UNL," March 11-13 at the Embassy Suites, 1040 P St. The event will focus on building start-up people for new and established enterprises.

The daily schedule for the conference includes:
March 11
— UNL New Venture Competition: This is the 16th year of the competition. It provides students from the University of Nebraska system the opportunity to present business ideas to a panel of expert judges who specialize in entrepreneurship. The grand prize is up to $50,000 to fund the business idea and automatic entry into the UNL Global New Venture Competition. Additional awards include first, second and third places for graduate and undergraduate categories.
— Entrepreneurship Round Table led by Prem Paul, vice chancellor for research and economic development, and Theresa Welbourne, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and professor of business.

— Celebration of Entrepreneurial Learning: Workshops and discussions led by traditional and non-traditional entrepreneurs.
— College of Fine and Performing Arts entrepreneurship panel discussion.
— Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards Night

March 13
— UNL Global New Venture Competition: 24 graduate and undergraduate teams from the world’s top universities compete in a business planning competition for feedback and more than $25,000 in funding. The winner of the graduate division has automatic entry into the 2013 Global Venture Labs Investment Competition sponsored by the University of Texas at Austin.
— Keynote Presentation: "Negotiating to Get What you Want," Donde Plowman, dean of the College of Business Administration.
