On Monday Oct. 7 there will be a Tech Wizards Mentoring Informational Session in the City Campus Union from 4-5 p.m. This session will touch on the Tech Wizards programs, robotics programs, our partnerships with Goodrich, Lefler, and Dawes middle schools as well as Elliot Elementary School. Volunteers will be placed at one of these sites to mentor youth and work with Tech Wizards.

4-H Tech Wizards is an afterschool Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and education program for youth in grades 5-8.

Interested volunteers have the opportunity to participate in activities that may include: photography, video making and editing, GPS/GIS, LEGO Robotics and competing in FIRST LEGO League.

• Help young people engage in informal STEM educational activities.

• Develop positive youth/adult relationships.

• Spend 2-4 hours per week with a small group of youth ages 11-14 in robotics, filmmaking, or GIS/GPS.

Requirements:

• Attend orientation Session.

• Complete 4-H Background Survey

• Commit to an entire School Semester and at least 2 hours per week

• Must be able to drive to program location
