All Nebraska Engineering students are eligible to participate in the annual Engineering Industry/Professional Networking Trip, which will be March 21-25 in Denver.
Early registration (by Jan. 30) is $175. Late registration (Jan. 31-Feb. 13) is $225.
Students will meet and interact with professional engineers and college alumni, tour various engineering firms and sites around Denver and make connections for possible future internships, co-ops or jobs.
Tours will include:
* Gates Corporation: the world’s leading manufacturer of power transmission belts and a premier global manufacturer of fluid power products.
* Hensel Phelps: one of the largest general contractors and construction managers in the U.S., ranked consistently among Engineering News-Record’s top 20 contractors.
* RTD Light Rail: the transit system in the Denver metropolitan area - operates 79 local, 16 express, 16 regional, 11 limited, and 5 skyRide bus routes.
* Urban Drainage & Flood Control: Established by the Colorado legislature in 1969 to assist local governments in Denver metro area for flood control and drainage.
* Additional tentative company tours: Union Pacific, Ball Aerospace, Noble Energy, Denver Public Works, Denver Airport, Colorado School of Mines, and HDR
