TBP Teaching Award nominations due March 8

Tuesday, March 8 is the deadline for College of Engineering students in Lincoln and Omaha to nominate faculty for the new Tau Beta Pi Distinguished Teaching Award. All College of Engineering faculty are eligible to be nominated.

Previous winners are ineligible for the 2016 honor. Hunter Flodman, assistant professor of practice in chemical engineering, was the 2015 winner.

Once nominations are received, TBP members will choose the top three or four candidates. All students will then have the opportunity to vote online among these choices.

The recipient of this award will receive cash and a trophy.

Timeline:

• Student nominations: due March 8 by midnight.

• Tau Beta Pi voting to select top candidates: March 10.

• Voting by engineering student body: March 14-30.

The final award will presented to the faculty member in mid-April.
