The 2015 UNL Research Fair will take place April 12-13 in the Nebraska Union. The event will showcase undergraduate and graduate student research and creative accomplishments at UNL. The UNL Research Fair will include opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to display their research as ePosters and will feature a Graduate Student Poster Competition.
The Graduate Student Research and Creative Activities Poster Session and Competition will be held on Tuesday, April 12 from 3:30 – 5p.m. in the Centennial Room and Ballroom. The Office of Research and Economic Development, in conjunction with the Office of Graduate Studies, will award $400 travel grants to students whose research poster is deemed outstanding by faculty judges.
Also on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. will be the annual Folsom Graduate Awards Luncheon in the Nebraska Union Colonial Room. The event will honor recipients of the 2016 Folsom Distinguished Thesis and Dissertation Awards and the Graduate Recognition Awards.
Following the luncheon, NUtech Ventures will host the Technology Transfer Workshop: Explaining Commercialization of Research from 1-2 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. Guest presenters will speak and answer questions about university technology transfer and patenting basics. Participants will learn how to work with NUtech Ventures and the support it provides and how they can personally and professionally benefit from commercializing research.
The Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Activities Poster Session will run from 3:30–5 p.m. on Wednesday in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room and Ballroom.
