Student groups invited to host booths at FTC event

All engineering student organizations are encouraged to reach out to future Nebraska Engineering students by hosting a booth at the Nebraska FIRST Tech Challenge state championship, Jan. 14 at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln.

The event is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but booths will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each booth can contain a table with chairs along with an electrical outlet.

Last year, the Husker Racing Baja SAE team brought a car to showcase at the First Tech Challenge.

Booth reservation deadline is December 11 and reservations must include club name, point of contact (student or advisor) for person(s) attending the event, booth requirements (if different than table, chairs and outlet). Oversized items may be brought in on Friday afternoon and evening or Saturday morning, as the event center has bay doors that would allow a trailer to be pulled inside.

To reserve a booth or for more information, contact Karly Black, Nebraska 4-H Military Liaison, at karly.black@unl.edu or the Nebraska Extension-Pawnee County, P.O. Box 391, Pawnee City, NE 68420 or by phone at (402) 852-2970.
