Free shuttle service between Lincoln and Omaha will not run during Winter Break - Dec. 17 to Jan. 8.

N-E Ride, which transports Nebraska Engineering students between the City and Scott campuses, will not run during Winter Break, starting Saturday, Dec. 17.

The service, which operates on weekdays when classes are in session, will resume the first day of Spring Semester 2017 -- Monday, Jan. 9.

The college is now using a 21-passenger minibus on weekdays that classes are in session for all routes and times, allowing more riders per time.

Engineering students and employees can ride the minibus leaving from Othmer Hall (Lincoln City Campus) and from Scott Campus (PKI-Omaha) every two hours on weekdays. The first shuttle departs each location at 8 a.m.; the last shuttle departs at 6 p.m.

No registration is required for this service and free Wi-Fi is provided.
