Applications are due Friday, April 7 for students interested in attending any of the Out For Undergrad (O4U) National Conferences.
Out For Undergrad, which helps high-achieving LGBTQ undergraduates reach their full potential, provides travel and lodging scholarships to all accepted students who require them, and provide meals and conference materials. If selected for admission, students are asked to pay a $50 registration fee to attend. This fee helps cover registration for student flights and hotels. No other payment is expected.
Students admitted to O4U conferences take part in a weekend-long professional program, which partner firms in each industry help us produce and offer. Each conference features incredible opportunities for talented young people to meet, learn, and grow. Students will learn about life and work in key industries; gain inspiration as they begin to navigate challenging, ambitious careers; explore potential futures as LGBTQ professionals; and begin to build a professional network in their industries of choice.
To build an outstanding class of students for the conferences, O4U selects a highly diverse class of very high-performing LGBTQ students from campuses across the United States – 100 students will be chosen for the Out For Engineering Conference Oct. 20-22 in Palo Alto, California; and 40 will be chosen for the Out For Tech Conference Sept. 8-10 in San Francisco.
At the conferences, students will work and interact with LGTBQ professionals and learn about job opportunities, explore career paths and develop strategies for managing and leveraging their identity to their advantage in the workplace.
