OUCH! Workshop focuses on communication, inclusion & civil discourse

In response to recent events impacting our campus and the nation as a whole, the CASNR Student Advisory Board is partnering with the CASNR Graduate Student Assembly to host the OUCH! Workshop – 5-6 p.m., Tuesday, March 27 in the Nebraska East Union Great Plains Room.

The workshop will highlight communication skills for promoting inclusion and civil discourse in our campus learning environments. It will also focus on understanding the impact of stereotypes and biased statements; identifying the most common reasons individuals remain silent in situations of bias and stereotypes; and providing participants the tools for speaking up again stereotypes without blame or guilt.

We truly believe this workshop will be a valuable experience for our students and look forward to seeing you there!
