Undergraduates are invited to participate in the Inclusive Leadership Retreat on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 1-6 p.m. in the Red Cloud Room of the Cather Dining Complex.
Inclusive Leadership Retreats are designed to help you think deeply about how to lead inclusively and to take on leadership roles — in the classroom, in university clubs or organizations, and in your communities. Through small group activities and interactive discussions, you will:
*Gain awareness of what it means to be an inclusive leader
*Develop confidence in facilitating conversations about inclusion and diversity
*Build connections to other student, staff, and faculty leaders on campus.
Students who complete the retreat are prepared to apply for university leadership positions, including peer mentors and consultants, RSO positions, NSE orientation leaders, resident assistants, and college and research ambassadors. Participants also are certified to serve as facilitators for Husker Dialogues, a campus-event for first year students held each fall.
A free lunch and refreshments will be provided. Registration is limited to the first 150 students for each retreat.
