Grand Challenge Scholars Program info sessions in November

First-year engineering students are invited to apply for the Grand Challenge Scholars Program (GCSP), a challenging & rewarding self-paced program, paired with the Honors Program.

Information sessions about the GCSP are scheduled for:

*Scott Campus: Wednesday, November 14, 5:00-6:00 PM – PKI 150

*City Campus: Thursday, November 15, 4:30-5:30 PM – Neidhardt 1107

Benefits of the GCSP include:

* Having the ability and support to focus your engineering and honors education on one of the Grand Challenges of Engineering, giving you the potential to have an impact on society and the world.

* Gaining skills that give you a competitive advantage for jobs, internships/co-ops, and graduate or professional school through building your capacity with the 5 GCSP components.

* Renewable scholarships to support your participation in this program.

* Grand Challenge Scholar Program certificate from the College of Engineering at completion

* Grand Challenge Scholar Program designation on your transcript.

* A three-year membership (good during fall/spring terms only) to the Nebraska Innovation Studio (on Nebraska Innovation Campus) or Omaha Maker Group.

* Professional headshots and profile on University of Nebraska-Lincoln's GCSP website.
