Nominations sought for Holling Family Distinguished Teaching/Advising/Mentoring Award

The Holling Family Distinguished Teaching/Advising/Mentoring Award is presented annually to up to 2 faculty members (1 based on City or East campus and 1 based on Scott campus) who have demonstrated effectiveness as advisers and mentors, as well as classroom teaching.

Nominations are by due March 4 at 5 p.m. at the link below.

Based on submitted application materials, the Dean will receive recommendations of the award recipients from the Engineering Student Advisory Board (eSAB) and Nebraska Engineering Student Council at Omaha (NESCO).

The award is open to all faculty in the College of Engineering, and any faculty may be nominated by a current student. Each recipient of this award receives $250.

Nomination materials are to be submitted electronically through the online submission site, with documents uploaded in PDF format. Please have all materials ready to submit at one time, as forms may not be saved and added to at a later time.

A person may not be nominated at the same rank if he/she has received this award in the last five years. That means those who have received the award in 2014 or later are ineligible this year. A list of past recipients may be found on the college website.
