Registration is open for ENGL 317: Literature and the Environment at Cedar Point Biological Station this summer. It is a three-credit course that also satisfies the ACE 5 requirement. The course will run from July 18 to 31 at Cedar Point, near Ogallala, NE.
The course will focus on literature of the Great Plains from the past one hundred years, prioritizing works by Indigenous authors, which will be braided together with pieces written from a settler-colonial perspective. The class will go on a few field trips into the surrounding area and to Fort Robinson to explore the place alongside the literature.
