Student Collection Assistant – Sheldon Museum of Art ($15/hr)
The museum is seeking an individual to systematically review and update artists' records in the collection management database, including artists' names, life dates, birth and death locations, as well as demographic information. This may also include updating any city and country names for non-U.S.-born artists, as appropriate. Search and/or contact other online databases, museum online collections, gallery representatives, or artists directly to find up-to-date information. Additionally, the collection assistant will assist curators with various other projects pertaining to upcoming exhibitions and/or publications. This may include compiling data, putting together documents, and proofreading. Deadline to apply is February 5.
Literary Agency Intern ($1K/semester)
An internship at Folio Literary Management is an educationally based program consisting of two parts: first, it provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of publishing through specific examples, stories, handouts, and practical information about the day-to-day world of publishing and agenting; and second, Folio interns will work closely with one or two Folio agents to develop the intern’s understanding of publishing through a variety of tasks. Some of these tasks may include: learning to evaluate query letters and manuscript submissions; assessing the process of editing manuscripts and nonfiction book proposals;
perfecting the art of the pitch letter; becoming proficient in the etiquette for communicating with authors, editors, and publicists; and analyzing the ins and outs of publishing contracts. Deadline to apply is February 5.
Undergraduate Education & Student Success (UESS) Communications Intern ($15/hr)
Undergraduate Education and Student Success, within UNL’s Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, is looking for a creative, detail-oriented student to assist with the communication and social media efforts in our department. This position provides a hands-on opportunity to work on various communications projects and initiatives, giving the intern a wide variety of experiences. Key projects include creating social media content, writing newsletters and articles, tracking social media + communications analytics, and assisting with event marketing (Husker Student POWER Week, First Generation Week, Cornelius chatbot, etc.). Library of Congress Intern, Summer 2026 ($17-19/hr) (REMOTE)
The Library of Congress Internships (LOCI) program is a seasonal, 10- or 12- week paid internship program that enables undergraduate, graduate students, and recent graduates to gain experience through applied learning and professional development opportunities that advance the academic and career pursuits of participants. The 2026 Summer session of the Library of Congress Internships Program include options for virtual, remote project work. This program offers undergraduate, graduate students and recent graduates insight into the environment and culture of the world's largest and most comprehensive repository of human knowledge. Interns will be exposed to a broad spectrum of library work: copyright, preservation, reference, access standards, and information management. Near the end of their appointments at the Library, the interns join together to present their accomplishments and share their insights on the impact of their work. The assignments will span many professional fields at the Library, including information technology, human capital, event planning, communications, collections support and research. Interns work with Library staff on mission-critical projects that utilize the interns’ existing skills. Interns are exposed to additional opportunities to expand their skills through special assignments, professional development training and workshops, mentoring, and other enrichment activities. Interns participate in a wide range of projects offered across the Library of Congress that are designed to challenge and strengthen the skills of emerging professionals and fulfill the mission and vision of the Library of Congress. Social Media & Digital Strategy Assistant ($15/hr)
The Social Media and Digital Strategy Assistant will be responsible for engaging and growing the online/social media presence of Campus Recreation and leveraging available platforms to increase awareness and participation in programs and services. Learning Communities Peer Mentor ($14.50/hr)
Learning Communities at Nebraska is hiring Peer Mentors for the 2026-2027 academic year. Learning Community (LC) Peer Mentors are upper-division students who provide support for first-year students and work with faculty and staff to enhance the experience of these students. The purpose of the Peer Mentor is to encourage and assist first-year students in their social and academic transition to UNL. Learning Community Peer Mentors work approximately 6-7 hours per week on a variety of projects and tasks including, but not limited to, planning programs and events related to the theme of the LC, holding weekly office hours to meet with students and build community, and connecting with each student individually periodically throughout the semester. Peer Mentors also work with the faculty and staff sponsors of their Learning Community to support the sponsor’s events and initiatives. Mentors also perform administrative duties such as tracking program attendance, assessing program effectiveness, and reporting students of concern. The Peer Mentor position is focused on fostering an excellent environment for first-year students and supporting them through their transition to college. Deadline to apply is February 14.

The Department of Educational Psychology (EDPS) is seeking one or two undergraduate student workers to assist the department in daily office operations. The department seeks up to 20 hours of coverage per week. University student employment policy limits student employment to no more than 20 hours per week. These positions will work an average of 10-12 hours per week, with the opportunity for more hours as need arises. Sustainability Ambassador ($15/hr)
As catalysts for positive change, University Housing Sustainability Ambassadors, operating as peer-to-peer educators, will foster a culture of sustainability among students residing in University Housing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Ambassadors will work 5-10 hours per week to educate fellow students on why sustainability is important, how UNL demonstrates its commitment to sustainability, and how students can make a difference by integrating sustainability into the culture of living on UNL's campus. Through educational and engaging programming efforts including tabling, events, and competitions, Ambassadors will cultivate a community of students who are mindful of their social, economic, and environmental impacts and empowered to effect change.
