The Social Media and Digital Strategy Assistant will be responsible for engaging and growing the online/social media presence of Campus Recreation and leveraging available platforms to increase awareness and participation in programs and services. The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-directed, inclusive team member who is social media savvy and culturally attuned. This team member will bring creativity, adaptability, an outgoing personality, and an openness to collaboration. You will work with a team of students to create, design, and engage the target audience of Campus Recreation. You will receive weekly content regarding outreach efforts, engagement opportunities, program offerings, and activities unique to our organization. This job is work study eligible. Learning Communities Peer Mentor ($14.50/hr)
Learning Communities at Nebraska is hiring Peer Mentors for the 2026-2027 academic year. Learning Community (LC) Peer Mentors are upper-division students who provide support for first-year students and work with faculty and staff to enhance the experience of these students. The purpose of the Peer Mentor is to encourage and assist first-year students in their social and academic transition to UNL. Learning Community Peer Mentors work approximately 6-7 hours per week on a variety of projects and tasks including, but not limited to, planning programs and events related to the theme of the LC, holding weekly office hours to meet with students and build community, and connecting with each student individually periodically throughout the semester. Peer Mentors also work with the faculty and staff sponsors of their Learning Community to support the sponsor’s events and initiatives. Mentors also perform administrative duties such as tracking program attendance, assessing program effectiveness, and reporting students of concern. The Peer Mentor position is focused on fostering an excellent environment for first-year students and supporting them through their transition to college. Deadline to apply is February 14.
Front Desk Associate ($15/hr)
The Department of Educational Psychology (EDPS) is seeking one or two undergraduate student workers to assist the department in daily office operations. The department seeks up to 20 hours of coverage per week. University student employment policy limits student employment to no more than 20 hours per week. These positions will work an average of 10-12 hours per week, with the opportunity for more hours as need arises. Sustainability Ambassador ($15/hr)
As catalysts for positive change, University Housing Sustainability Ambassadors, operating as peer-to-peer educators, will foster a culture of sustainability among students residing in University Housing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Ambassadors will work 5-10 hours per week to educate fellow students on why sustainability is important, how UNL demonstrates its commitment to sustainability, and how students can make a difference by integrating sustainability into the culture of living on UNL's campus. Through educational and engaging programming efforts including tabling, events, and competitions, Ambassadors will cultivate a community of students who are mindful of their social, economic, and environmental impacts and empowered to effect change. Digital Learning Center Support Assistant ($15/hr)
ITS is currently seeking a Support Assistant for the Digital Learning Centers on City and East Campuses starting in the summer and fall 2026 semesters. Primary duties include assisting UNL students at the DLC reception desk for check-in, check-out, and general assistance. Duties also include, but are not limited to, general communication with student users and faculty members, maintaining exam security, maintaining center and work station cleanliness, and providing general support for the student testing experience.
