Visitor Experience Associate, Sheldon Museum of Art ($15/hr)
Seeking student applicants who are enthusiastic with a passion and knowledge of art to serve as Visitor Experience Associate for Sheldon Museum of Art. The Visitor Experience Associate is responsible for providing a welcoming and safe environment for visitors to the museum. Individuals will share their enthusiasm and knowledge of art with visitors, provide coverage of the front desk, monitor museum galleries and assist visitors needs during public hours. They will collect and record visitor survey information and feedback. In addition, they will help security personnel to maintain the security of guests, the collection and building. Visitor Experience Associate will also assist with set-up and tear-down of events and serve as event ambassador. Successful candidate must possess enthusiastic customer service, excellent communication skills, and have a general knowledge and appreciation of art/art history. Deadline to apply is April 22.
WW Norton & Company Publishing Internships ($17/hr, some remote)
W. W. Norton & Company’s 12-week internship program is designed to introduce motivated college students and recent graduates to publishing and to Norton. Internships provide valuable hands-on experience with the day-to-day business of bookmaking, as well as opportunities to network with employees at the company and with fellow interns who frequently go on to become colleagues in the field. Interns at W. W. Norton are paid $17 per hour, subject to applicable law, and work a maximum of 20 hours weekly. Runner – Mattson Ricketts Law Firm ($15/hr)
Our runners support the inner workings of our law office and see first hand how a firm operates. This is a part-time position which duties include: delivering documents, running errands, answering the phones, greeting clients, storing files, shredding documents, purchasing office supplies, stocking the kitchen, making copies, scanning documents and hauling boxes. This position takes direction from all members of the law firm but primarily reports to the receptionist and the hiring manager. Academic Assistant/Mentor ($15/hr)
Athletics is now accepting applications for Academic Assistant/Mentor positions for the Summer & Fall 2026 semesters! Academic Assistants will serve as mentors to strengthen the learning behaviors and practices necessary for students to be successful at UNL. This position is based on supporting learning behaviors such as organization and time management. It is NOT a course-specific tutorial position. Academic Assistants will work closely with a Learning Specialist’s support team and caseload of students. They will assist students to prioritize and organize weekly to-do lists based upon course due dates and tasks. Academic Assistants will work with students to progress their abilities, instill academic behaviors, and build confidence within academics. They will provide academic mentorship and assistance to clarify questions and instructions. In addition to these duties, individuals will assist in monitoring study hall, collecting grades, and checking items for completion. They will troubleshoot problems and be a supportive voice. It is essential for an Academic Assistant to maintain confidentiality, model strong academic habits and to always act with integrity. Anthropology Collection Intern (unpaid)
The State Museum of Natural History Anthropology Collection internship is designed to teach undergraduate students the essentials of museum collection management. Students will learn how to properly handle, house, research, and catalog collection items.
The Anthropology collections encompass worldwide ethnological and archaeological collections with regional strengths in Asia, Africa, Native North America, Oceania, and the upper Amazon. The internship runs the length of the Fall 2026 semester from August 24 to December 11, 2026. The internship is a part time, onsite position requiring 6 to 8 hours of work a week for a semester total of 120 hours. Deadline to apply is May 31.
