The Nutrition & Health Sciences department in the College of Education & Human Sciences offers one degree in nutrition and health sciences, but a number of options within that degree to make sure students can find the right fit within the degree program for their goals. Are you interested in a career working with athletes? Consider exploring the Nutrition, Exercise, & Health Science option, a great fit for students interested in managing health care facilities, strength and conditioning, or preparing for continuing your education as an athletic trainer, physical therapist, or chiropractor. If you are more interested in helping individual and communities learn more about health and wellness, consider the Community Health & Wellness option. This course work is a great launch for students interested in nursing, registered dietician, public health, and health administration. Last, if you are interested in a nutrition foundation to your degree while taking science courses to prepare for professional school in medicine, pharmacy, or dental consider exploring the Nutrition Science option.
Students in the Nutrition & Health science major will work with outstanding faculty throughout their degree program, building lasting connections. By choosing to work with our teaching, research, or extension faculty students will have a variety of ways to gain first-hand experience while pursuing their degree. Additionally, our Nutrition & Health faculty take student learning out of the classroom and the country by leading education abroad opportunities to explore nutrition and health in places like Greece and Japan.
