My name is Michelle Mitchell and I am the Managing Attorney of the REACH Initiative at Legal Aid of Nebraska. Legal Aid of Nebraska is a state-wide, non-profit law firm that provides free, civil legal assistance to low income and elder Nebraskans, and to victims of domestic and sexual violence and elder abuse and financial exploitation.

Legal Aid staff understands and is concerned about the issues that face our low income and elder population, such as increased victimization, job loss, housing and other pressing issues, during this unprecedented time of social isolation and financial uncertainty. Legal Aid wants to ensure that community partners, service providers, advocates, and others know that Legal Aid of Nebraska staff, although working remotely, is as dedicated as ever to ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our state have access to free, quality civil legal services.

All of our statewide hotlines are up and running; here is the link with information regarding all of our hotlines, numbers and hours: https://www.legalaidofnebraska.org/how-we-help/call-for-help/. Legal Aid of Nebraska also has a COVID-19 Legal Hotline and COVID-19 Legal Resource Page. Thank you for all you do to keep our families and community safe and healthy!
