Through our partnership with Big Red Resilience and Well-being in the Office of Student Affairs, we are able to offer Mental Health Awareness Training based on the I Can Help curriculum to local communities. Training outcomes include:

Demonstrate basic reflecting skills and operationalize compassion;
Describe key components of increased risk of suicide attempts;
Explain the connection between mental health and basic needs, including housing & food;
Identify why asking about suicide in the now is critical to risk reduction;
Apply the three-step-theory (3ST) to respond to someone in crisis:
Describe referral resources; and
Define suicide postvention.

To request client-based face-to face mental health awareness training for your community, please complete the following. Note: Training is 90 minutes and we would prefer 20-25 participants.
