Where are you from?

I am from a small town in Oman called Ibri.

What gets you excited about Geology?

I decided to study geology because it unveils the great mysteries of the subsurface and allows us to explore the unknown.

Favorite Geology class or instructor so far? Why?

My favorite instructor so far was Dr. Erin Haacker because she managed to create a fun class environment while teaching.

What are you excited about doing after graduation?

After graduation, I am excited to find a job and use the knowledge I collected here at UNL, and I want to continue my career in the energy industry.

What is a goal you have accomplished as a Husker?

A goal that I achieved as a husker was being able to study while learning new things and exploring new experiences, such as being a part of the conservation and survey division team.

What do you wish you would have known when you started as a Geology Major that you know now?

Before starting my major, I wished that I had known that being a geology major requires a lot of fieldwork, where you will have a field trip every semester; some might be on holidays such as fall or spring break.

What do you hope to cross off your “bucket list” in the next few years?

I hope in the next few years that I will be able to go and travel to Iceland because of its spectacular nature that cannot be found anywhere else.
