Duties
As a Student Trainee (Biological Sciences and Natural Resources), the incumbent will work under closer supervision performing assignments and completing training. At the full-performance level, you will be expected to:
- Assist project managers with providing permit applications and jurisdictional determinations for work in waters.
- Provide assistance to applicants, prepare correspondence and public notices, and assist in the preparing preliminary environmental assessments and decision documents.
- Assist with compliance inspections of permitted activities and the investigation of violations.
- Input data, maintain files, search for missing files, and search for specific data and prepare special and recurring reports.
GS-03 Minimum Qualifications:
Education: To qualify at the GS-03 level, students must have completed (or will complete by December 2023) 1 academic year of post-high school study (one year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university).
GS-04 Minimum Qualifications:
Education: To qualify at the GS-04 level, students must have completed (or will complete by December 2023) 2 academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree (one year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university).
